XC League

Details for the Cumbria league are not necessarily correct because of a local Cumbria rule which scores flights starting after 18.00 as double distance; this detail is not included in the league.

The link below may not display correctly as the XC league has undergone a major overhaul during the winter of 2009/2010 - go to here for the XC League web site. THe fault should get fixed - let me know if its working correctly. The highlights of the upgrade include
- Automatic flight entry - upload your tracklog and most of the work is done for you
- International league - enter you flights when you go overseas (or live there). This may be adapted so that our club may in the future have an international league
- Flights displayed in XC Player - view your highs, lows, ups and downs as you cruise across the countryside (ok it is only 2d but its a nice addition)
- Payment can be made by PayPal - no more looking for that cheque book
- All Years view - view the tables using data from 2005 - 2010. They are slowly backdating the whole xc archive
- Add a story to your flight - storyboard feature lets you annotate your flight using your tracklog positions. This will soon be expanded to include photos
- Accurate flight statistics - no longer the Leonardo "Maximum Speed: 99.9km/h" we've grown to love. Also reports invalid track points
- Multi-club membership - you can be a member of as many clubs as you like and your relevant flights will get shown in the club leagues This now allows pilots who have multi club membership to compete in all affiliated leagues.
- Will be used to validate FAI Badge Flights - will tell you if your flight fulfils a badge criteria (distance, duration or height-gain).
