Dave is a multiple-time winner of the most serious category of the X-Lakes - the unsupported vol-biv category, which involves camping alone in the mountains, carrying all your equipment and food, over two days, with a much heavier rucksack and limited access to weather forecasts or other information. Dave also holds the record for the highest number of Wainwrights tagged ever in the X-Lakes!
