Lakes Charity Classic & X-Lakes
The Lakes Charity Classic is an informal paragliding competition held in some of England's most spectacular scenery.

SAVE THE DATE: the 2027 LCC and X-Lakes events will be held from Wednesday 16 June to Sunday 20 June.
Priority for free flying tickets, and competition places will be given to members of the Cumbria Soaring Club.

Competitions
The main XC competitions need a Pilot-rating because of the BHPA rules on these matters.
As well as the usual prizes, we award trophies also for "Best B-Wing in the A-Comp", "Best B-wing in the 2-Day X-Lakes", and "most improved club pilot". there will be other fun prizes too. so, please don't be put off the top events, just because you aren't flying a Deathblade.
Pilots are welcome to arrive on the Grasmere Sports Field and camp from the Wednesday. Registration is normally 5pm - 7pm Thursday, in the Pavilion office. This is compulsory and cannot be missed.
You must be a current BHPA-member to take part in this event, including overseas pilots.

Coaching
We also offer coaching / guiding as an alternative to the competitions. Open to Club Pilots and above.
The coaching group is aimed at CPs. It is a great opportunity to fly in some of the most spectacular scenery in England with the coaching team from CSC.
We also have free-flying tickets for pilots who want to come and enjoy the weekend, but aren't fussed about coaching or competitions.
