Pete Rycroft took this picture on the Thursday before the LCC at the start of June. Dave Horne is coming into land at the camping field in Buttermere. As Pete says "Great party weekend, shame about the flying"!
Lance Greenhalgh took this picture on Watermillock Common on Tuesday June 23rd. Tony Eadington is setting up and we're looking south west up Ullswater. Lance reports that it was a "fantastic sky but too little in the way of thermals and wind at 16:30. By 17:00 it was booming then blown out!"
Malcolm Grout took advantage of the easterly winds to fly on Cat Bells. Tony Thompson is the pilot. Keswick is the town, Skiddaw on the left and Blencathra on the right.
John Hamlett had his first flight in Langdale on 29 June 2009. It was a really hot day that clouded over later in the afternoon. The red and blue wing is Chris Greenwood; red and yellow is Alex Butler.
And finally, Paul Gannon's daughter Poppy did this drawing of her dad in action!
